This 23 y.o. female presented to our office with the desire to improve the appearance of her gummy smile (excessive gingival display). Dr. Andrews performed a periodontal evaluation, which revealed  4-5 mm pseudo pockets.
The soft tissue diode laser was ideal  to be used in this case. The Aesthetic  Laser Gingival Recontouring was accomplished at our DENTOLOGY practice in Boston under the local anesthesia.
The immediate postoperative results were in line with the aesthetic treatment  goals and patient goals to eliminate her gummy smile.
The  healing was completed in about a week. She was very pleased with the  final result  and reported that she had not needed any pain
medications after the procedure.
